Coachella Fans Want A Houston Hologram

Coachella 2013, California’s biggest music festival is now only four days away, meaning all its fans and media are begging one monumental question: which deceased artist will be resurrected for the festival’s opening weekend? As many are aware, last year the festival brought rapper, Tupac Shakur, back to life in a digitalized-hologram, whose visual performance was the highlight of the entire weekend. When a holographic image is all anyone can talk about- after seeing  the industries’ top artists perform- we can be sure Coachella has done something right.

Now that Tupac’s unnervingly-realistic performance has set the bar so high, the only things festival-goers are hoping for are: 1. Coachella brings another legendary performer back to life, and 2. That performer is Whitney Houston. According to an iHeartRadio survey, the majority of fans are hoping that Houston’s presence and outstanding vocals will be brought back to the stage one more time.

The artists with the second and third majority votes are John Lennon and Jimi Hendrix. Since I will be attending this weekends’ festivities I  won’t complain if I get to watch either of these three artists projected on stage, but as a Whitney Houston fan I can’t say I disagree with the majority either!

Tupac’s holographic performance gained colossal amounts of media attention, and even had celebrities, like Rihanna and Questlove, tweeting about the nonpareil experience.

When you have some of the worlds most famous artists in awe of a performance- of a man whose been dead for 15 years- that makes for some riveting entertainment… Not to mention the amount of social media attention it gained.

So with that said, are Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, and all their social-media counterparts ready for whats to come this weekend? I sure hope so! I know I’ll be tweeting with the hashtag- #Coachella2013- so if you want frequent updates or just ‘wanna dance with somebody’ then get on your feeds and watch the tweets detonate.

Until I return from the West Coast,
