4 Years.

I can’t believe that graduation is finally here. It seems like just yesterday I was moving in to my dorm. I was nervous about living in a new state, away from home, where I essentially knew no one. These past four years have been a whirlwind. People say that college is about “finding yourself” but I learned that it is about creating yourself.

Attending SMU is the best decision that I have ever made. The faculty, courses, and social life were exactly what I needed for four years. I look back on my time with only fond memories. I have found my best friends here and have discovered who I am and what really matters to me.

While SMU has given me an abundant amount of professional and scholastic opportunities I cherish the opportunities that taught me the most about myself. SMU was such a great, memorable, and positive experience because the university cares about students growing personally as well as academically.

I will only look back on college with positive memories. My friends that I have made here will last a lifetime. We all are going our separate ways upon graduation day – but I’m not worried. The memories and relationships that I have made at SMU know no boundaries and will stand the test of time.

SMU was and probably always will be – the best four years of my life.
