Share the Love on October 13: Uber + Virgin America

Your experience of a lifetime is just around the corner, no bags necessary. All you need is a boarding pass to hop on. Virgin America and Uber plus HotelTonight teamed up and co-branded a “Share the Love” digital promotion and party, to kick off the airline’s Dallas Love Field launch in style.

In typical Sir Richard Branson fashion, expect this to be quite the production. Very few hold the coveted boarding passes, and they sure are lucky. For those who don’t here’s how it’ll go down.

On October 13 Virgin America will pack their bags at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and fly them on its “Downtown Express” to Dallas Love Field. That is a pretty short flight. But, not this trip. The inaugural flight will last about an hour, because Grammy Award-winning country music star, Kacey Musgraves, will actually give live acoustic performance—at 35,000 feet. Now that’s not your average concert. Leave it to Sir Richard to take it to the next level, always.

Earlier this week the “Share The Love” digital promotion ended, but it allowed people to sign up for a chance to win a trip on the first Virgin America flight into Love Field accompanied by Sir Richard, himself. And anyone who enters for a chance to win the Share the Love contest will also receive up to 25 percent off a future flight to or from Dallas Love Field and a free uberX (valued at $30) or UberBlack service (valued at $40) if they share what they love on Facebook and Twitter.
