But photographers think that Instagram is the death to photography.  But what’s the big deal? Emily White Making Her Rounds In Social Media

Many technology companies have been criticized for not having females on their executive boards. Apple and Twitter has been criticized for having only white males on their executive board. Last October, Apple CEO Tim Cook hired Burberry Angela Ahrendts to run both online and retail stores, as well being Apple’s first female to join its executive leadership team.  Today, Twitter announced after being criticized for its all-male lineup hired Dame Majorie Scardino to join its executive board. But the most popular and more recent companies Instagram and Snapchat are battling for one woman, Emily White.

Photobucket’s Resurgence

In May, Yahoo revealed a new version of photo sharing site Flickr, complete with 1 TB of free storage and the ability to upload full-resolution photos. Although early reviews were glowing, the results have been less than satisfying. Instagram account used to expose “rats”

Last Thursday an Instagram account used to intimidate and identify violent crime witnesses in Philadelphia was finally shut down. The account, “rats215” had nearly 7,900 followers. Through the account over 30 witnesses had been exposed since February. In addition, the account posted confidential photos, police statements and a testimony.

We’ve taken loads of pictures, tweeted, Instagrammed, and checked in, experiencing the concert through a screen. We do this to preserve and share our experiences with others, but using social media at concerts actually takes us out of the experience altogether.

Mysterious British street artist Banksy known for his satirical street art and subversive epigrams combine dark humor with graffiti done in a distinctive stenciling technique. Earlier this month, Banksy announced his one month residency in New York via his blog simply stating “For the next month Banksy will be attempting to host an entire show on the Streets of New York.” His exhibit “Better Out Than In” features artwork on buildings, statues, and live works of art. Banksy, debuts one piece of art a day and completes pieces late at night. Generating huge media attention and buzz, Banksy implemented social media to share his work through social media.

Rapper The Game Uses Instagram To Promote His Charity
