Technology has brought advancements into the art world and has provided artist with new tools. Now, technology and art go hand in hand, technology has become important in the evolution of art. Technology has influenced in the way art is created, distributed, marketed, preserved even sold. Artist use it as a tool to show their work, design their pieces, to create pieces. As A tool Traditionally, artist presented their portfolio usually in a binder with pictures and samples of their work. However, now artists have their portfolio online, they can store their work in a database, website or even show pictures. The use of the smartphone enables the artist to have instant accessibility to their portfolio at all times. This contributes in their business, since they can easily provide clients with sample of their work. As well artist use technological advancements such Social Media as a tool to build connections to sale their work and to get public recognition from potential buyers, collectors and art galleries.
