Christmas Tech List

As Halloween approaches, it’s hard not to start thinking about Thanksgiving and inevitably it’s cousin Christmas, and all the goodies you would love to find under the Christmas tree. So I have compiled not just any old Christmas Wish List but a Christmas Tech List of all the cool digital gadgets that I and maybe you would love brimming out of the stocking this year! From TVs, to tablets, to apps and more!

Number 1, is the LG 55EA9800 Curved OLED TV or the OLED for short. It’s nearly 10,000 dollars but man is it beautiful. The TV uses pixels that create their own light, meaning that when they display black, they turn off completely making colors are more saturated with better contrast.

Christmas Tech List item: OLED TV

Now this might not seem like a big deal but it’s actually providing us with crisper, high quality pictures then ever before, many saying that “OLED is closer than ever to matching the scope of human vision.”  The TV is also extremely thin and this is where the curve comes in. Although being a cool looking design, the curve helps eliminate unwanted glares and reflection.

Christmas Tech List: Kindle Paperwhite

Number 2, the Kindle Paperwhite. Yes it’s another eReader that Amazon has concocted but it has a backlight so you can read in the dark. It’s easy to read in the daylight and a has a miniUSB slot. Of course it’s light weight and fills the other typical eReader requirements but it also is made up of a no-slip grip material for those of us who are mighty clumsy and has a small battery but with a long battery life. It’s only $119 and it’s definitely worth the price.

3. Apple Mac Book Air, $1,099

4. Apple iPhone 5s,

5. Apple iPad 4th Generation, $499

Christmas Tech List: Lumix

Number 6, Panasonic Lumix GM1. Although the camera is almost $750, it has many of the nice quality features of a DSLR camera but it’s small and compact and you can throw it in your pocket. Plus, it’s super cute and has a retro look to it that I think many people can appreciate.

Christmas Tech List: Heartbeats

Number 7, Heartbeats Headphones by Beats. Now these headphones, at a whopping $99, are not for the faint of heart–pun intended. They are so loud and the sound is so crisp that it actually sounds like you have the artist screaming directly in your ear. The design is also really trendy and you can’t help but love it. The only falter though is that the headphones have a one button control making it almost impossible to control the volume without doing it on your phone. So say goodbye to your hearing but say hello to some cool looking and effective ear buds.

Number 8, Remee Lucid Dreaming Mask. I know this one may seem a little far fetched but this is a sleeping mask that lets you know when you’re at the peek or beginning of your REM cycle and are dreaming with subtle LED lights that don’t wake you up so you can control your dreams. How cool is that?! Here is a video that explains it better than I can–just imagine the possibilities: http://vimeo.com/56036272

9. Tempo Run App, $3

10. Stow App, $2

11. Camera + App, $0.99

There is truly no end to what we as humans can come up with. The innovation that we see is everywhere and it’s hard not to want it all. I think I’ll splurge on one of the items this season but the rest of my ridiculously expensive Christmas Tech List will be emailed to family and friends with extra dollars to spare.
