Facebook Does It All? Two More New Features Added to the App

Facebook is an app that has become a staple in the everyday lives of most people with computers. It has become a tool for people to connect, and businesses and companies use it to promote themselves. And just when you thought that there was nothing else to change, two more new updates have been added, proving that Facebook does it all.

Two New Features:

social media platforms matter for proper marketingBefore, Facebook was just social. Now it is broadening it’s horizons and constantly changing. One of the updates that supports that Facebook does it all, is ‘Messenger Kids.’ This is a new app allowing kids to chat online. Basically parents can set it up through their own Facebook accounts. They are also able to monitor who they are allowed to talk to. Social Media Today explains it well by saying, “The key element here is that parents need to approve any contacts on Messenger Kids – no one can be added to your child’s contact list without your approval (and the kids don’t actually have their own account, so they can’t circumvent this).” Facebook is slowly becoming an app for older and past generations. This seems like a good first step to get younger kids more interested in the app again.

The second new feature to promote the ‘Facebook Does It All’ campaign is food delivery! Facebook has recently partnered with popular delivery sites, local restaurants, and chains. Some of the chains include: Jack in the Box, Five Guys, Papa John’s, TGI Friday’s, Denny’s, Chipotle, Jimmy John’s, Panera and more. The app allows you to place an order for takeout or delivery. It also has reviews about the restaurant that you are ordering from. This is definitely a good move for Facebook. Being apart of the food industry would be a major boost in terms of outreach. Also, it will probably increase people’s time spent using the app. Hopefully this new feature takes off and does well for Facebook, but for now we just have to wait and watch as Facebook does it all.
