The Latest and Greatest from Blogging Wunderkind Amber Venz

First, RewardStyle and now, LikeToKnowIt

Nearly two years ago Amber Venz, fashion blogger, decided there was something missing in the blogging world: a way for bloggers to make money from the content of their blogs. Thus she and her boyfriend created RewardStyle, an online monetization mechanism for bloggers. With RewardStyle bloggers must ask to join and if accepted they become a part of the online money- making blog world.

Everyone from regional bloggers to internationally known blogging wizards and even Vogue use this service. With her monopolization on the market of blog monetization the future is bright for Venz.

Since its launch in 2011, RewardStyle has driven over $175 million dollars in sales via online traffic and Venz isn’t stopping yet. She has recognized yet another gap in the blog market, key in Instagram.

This past winter she created a way for bloggers to more easily show their followers what they are wearing in their Instagram photos. Since many people only follow bloggers on Instagram now, due to higher frequency of posts, there was a gap in how to monetize their efforts.

Venz created Like To Know It or, #liketkit, as it is hashtagged. With this new system bloggers can sign up for the service and when they post they can tag the items they’re wearing. When followers, who have also signed for Liketkit up double tap the post they will then be sent an email detailing the outfits and where the pieces can be purchased. With this system bloggers are now able to more easily share their outfits and styling tips with their followers and fans.

For Venz this is most likely just the second of many projects to come that will shake up and improve the blogosphere. With this firepower and entrepreneurial spirit, she is definitely the one to watch.
