About Lyft
Lyft began in San Francisco in 2012. The smaller of the two-ride share companies, Lyft competes greatly with Uber. However, with Uber’s recent bad publicity, Lyft has grown tremendously. A fun fact about Lyft, all drivers put large pink mustaches on the grill of their vehicles. Lyft positions itself as a low-cost alternative to yellow cabs.
