JP Morgan Chase & Co. is already in the negative spotlight due to eight Justice Department investigations. The company further cemented this negative attention after opening up a Q&A session on Twitter, using hashtag #AskJPM this past week.
The online forum was originally intended for college students to directly ask a senior executive questions. JP Morgan encouraged followers to ask their questions with the hashtag #AskJPM. Just 6 hours later, the company tweeted “#Badidea! Back to the drawing board.” The hashtag #AskJPM had 24,000 posts on Twitter as of 10 a.m. New York time.
