This past weekend, Sony released their new Playstation 4. However, there were multiple issues that customers said they experienced with the console. The “blue light of death” seems to be one of malfunctions that comes with the system.
Consumers have posted about their issues and dissatisfaction all over Sony’s social media. In proper public relations fashion, Sony has responded to their consumers via social media by posting trouble shooting techniques to try and manuals. However, it hasn’t solved their problem…they haven’t listened closely enough to their consumers.
Playstation 4 buyers are still being blinded by the blue light of death and waiting for a bigger and better response. Luckily, Sony Playstation has 2.4 million loyal users that stick with them through thick and thin. On their Facebook wall, the comments remain positive on their posts other than a handful of posts about technical issues. However, Sony has hidden all posts from other people on their wall, so you can only see posts they make. On their Twitter, Sony has also gone to great lengths to hid any negative tweets, trying to cover up the negative posts with posts of their own.
Sony needs to stop blinding their consumers with the blue light of death and be more interactive on their social media instead of just blasting their followers with promotional items.
