It’s that time of year again folks, Red Starbucks Cup Season! Each year, thousands of people await the cup change that happens right before the Thanksgiving Holiday. It doesn’t matter where someone hails from, the red cup can bring comfort and Holiday cheer to all. Starbucks is known for making a splash each Holiday season.
According to an article published in the Starbucks News, Starbucks has been welcoming the Holidays with this special red cup since 1997.
This year, however, is extra special. The designs that are featured on these red cups are ones completed by people all around the world. Now everyone can see the beauty and creativity behind the thousands of people who participated in this. Creative director of Starbucks Global Creative Studio shared that he
was “surprised and inspired by the amount of incredible art submitted by customers and quickly realized the potential to use the designs on the cups”(Starbucks). Starbucks is extremely intentional.
Last year, Starbucks received quite a bit of grief for the red cups. This year they are turning it around and making an even bigger splash. Now, each cup is more than just a cup of coffee. The cups represent different individuals hailing from all around the world. These individuals create such meaningful designs that encompass the world today.
