Everything You Need to Know About Apple’s New iPhone 8

Apple is making big plans for the next predecessor in the iPhone lineage, hoping to release not one but three new iPhones this coming year. iphone-8-rendersIn addition to the iPhone 8 trio, the tech empire also plans to completely overhaul the smartphone’s classic design, leaving users and panel suppliers reeling.

It’s time to get ready for a radically different version of the iPhone–and it’s going to be bigger than ever. Recent leaks regarding the highly-anticipated iPhone 8 just broke the Internet, revealing a monumental milestone for Apple’s dominating smartphone series. The presumed 10th edition of the beloved device is rumored to come with an entirely new set of innovative features, the most exciting being an edge-to-edge glass, OLED display.

What’s even more jaw-dropping is that Apple will be releasing two other iPhone models in addition to the premium OLED iPhone. According to KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPhone trio would include a 4.7-inch model with a single-lens camera and LCD display, a 5.5-inch model with a dual-lens camera and LCD display, and the OLED model, which would also feature a dual-lens camera. However, the dazzling OLED display and dual camera functions aren’t the only things that have Apple users chomping at the bit for the new device. The predictions also indicate that the iPhones will include wireless charging capabilities and more advanced camera hardware. Sounds pretty great, huh?

It’s been confirmed in a new Bloomberg report that Apple’s release of the screen-to-screen curved display will entirely depend on panel manufacturer capabilities. While talk of the “all-glass” iPhone is undoubtedly dominating the upcoming iPhone 8 banter, panel suppliers may not be able to keep up with Apple’s mass production demands. In terms of the wireless charging feature, it will depend on whether or not Foxconn Technology Group will be able to perfect their wireless charging module in time for the iPhone 8’s release next September.

However, whether or not display makers will be able to meet the iPhone output in 2017 could have a greater impact on the company than you might think. If the newly innovative design were to catch wind, it could bode well for Apple’s slowly declining stock. Millennials argue that Apple’s lack of substantial change in the recent iPhone evolution has prevented them from purchasing new versions of the device. In the September quarter, Forbes reported that Apple sold 45.5 million iPhones, which was down 2 percent from the 48 million sold the year before.

Regardless of the exciting new predictions, no plans have been solidified for the next brainchild of the iPhone lineup. It will interesting to see if Apple moves forward with their plan to re-invent the beloved iPhone series and re-capture the audience that made the device so popular in the first place.
