Lulu is a one of a kind app changing the way girls communicate about guys. It’s no secret that every girl takes the time to ask around about a guy they are interested in, but what if we didn’t have to make those phone calls?
The Lulu app has created a segway between searching for information about a guy by putting all the answers at our fingertips. Lulu is centered around reading and writing reviews of guys, sharing tips, and having a fluid conversation about it all between girls. The content is created by girls. for girls. Lulu connects through Facebook and therefore manages accounts to keep all guys out. Despite the connection through Facebook Lulu is completely private and exclusively anonymous. Because of the anonymity Lulu allows girls to be brutally honest about guys without having to worry what has been said will be repeated.
Lulu allows girls to “favorite” the guys they are into and sends notifications when new information is submitted. Lulu also allows girls to search by qualities they are looking for as well as by location to discover guys close by.
Whether girls are using Lulu as a female’s only guide to guys or to gossip about their ex-boyfriend the social networking app has made a bold name for itself on the SMU campus.
