With the free Office download you can review the documents, but cannot edit or create new ones. In order to edit or create new documents, one has to purchase the $99 a year subscription. According to a recent article “Microsoft Office for iPad Isn’t Perfect, But It’s What We Needed All Along,” with the subscription, “you get 20GB of online storage and the ability to access your OneDrive files directly from Office.” This storage allows one to work off of Microsoft Office at work, save their work, and then continue from their iPad at a different location. Ultimately, a year’s subscription of the Microsoft Office for the iPad is beneficial for anyone in the business world.
