Many technology companies have been criticized for not having females on their executive boards. Apple and Twitter has been criticized for having only white males on their executive board. Last October, Apple CEO Tim Cook hired Burberry Angela Ahrendts to run both online and retail stores, as well being Apple’s first female to join its executive leadership team. Today, Twitter announced after being criticized for its all-male lineup hired Dame Majorie Scardino to join its executive board. In May, Yahoo revealed a new version of photo sharing site Flickr, complete with 1 TB of free storage and the ability to upload full-resolution photos. Although early reviews were glowing, the results have been less than satisfying. Instagram account used to expose “rats”
Last Thursday an Instagram account used to intimidate and identify violent crime witnesses in Philadelphia was finally shut down. The account, “rats215” had nearly 7,900 followers. Through the account over 30 witnesses had been exposed since February. In addition, the account posted confidential photos, police statements and a testimony.

“PLEASE DO NOT WATCH THE SHOW THROUGH A SCREEN ON YOUR SMART DEVICE/CAMERA. PUT THAT S— AWAY…” stated a sign at a Yeah Yeah Yeahs concert. We’ve all done it. We do this to preserve and share our experiences with others, but using social media at concerts actually takes us out of the experience altogether.
