It has come to the attention of the online paying service called Paypal that individuals have created a fake Paypal Support page on Twitter. How can we protect social media accounts from fraud?

They then respond to these questions and reviews by directing Paypal users to the fake site where they are able to receive personal and account information. This fake Paypal account is extremely unacceptable, and it is crucial that we find a way to protect social media accounts from fraud.

Twitter is stepping up their game. Today they introduced a new feature for all users: Twitter Moments. Twitter calls Moments “The Best of Twitter in an Instant.”

 

Twitter MomentsYou can check out Twitter’s very own moment here that explains the new tool. Essentially Moments allow users to curate their own collection to showcase a “moment” in time. This collection can include tweets, GIFs, Vines, images, and videos.

This past week, YouTube defeats cyberbullying- YouTube launched YouTube Heroes, a new program that rewards people for reporting bad comments, writing accurate subtitles and answering forum questions to help improve the site. 

YouTube defeats cyberbullying this past week by launching a new plan called YouTube Heroes. The goal of this plan is to receive more reports about bad comments by getting the community involved. YouTube employees are still the ones who will literally remove the bad comments and approve good subtitles on the website. However, this plan will hopefully motivate the community to report bad comments more often, which will help the actual moderation team get to these comments faster.
